The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hefner looks to score with a jab to the body but Cain is just out of range.
Cain rushes Hefner and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Hefner has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Cain avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Hefner has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cain is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Cain manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Cain has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hefner can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Cain is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Hefner frees his head nicely. Oh but Cain has switched to an armbar! Hefner is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
