PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Blaze Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter McBain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McBain is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Alien8. Peter McBain told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McBain tries to avoid it but Jenkins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McBain to the ground. McBain escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jenkins tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and McBain counters with a head kick. That will keep Jenkins thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
McBain scores with a nice right hand.
McBain looks to land a combination but Jenkins avoids it well.
McBain looks to score with a jab to the body but Jenkins is just out of range.
McBain will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

McBain moves into the clinch successfully.
McBain is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jenkins jumps guard but McBain stands there with Jenkins around his waist. Jenkins gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That was a close round but I would say that Blaze Jenkins will probably get the nod.
