Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Samak Tiyapairat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Tiyapairat might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Ram Muay. Jason Young has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Tiyapairat moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

It looks like Samak Tiyapairat has been cut.
Tiyapairat takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
The fighters circle momentarily. Tiyapairat darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Young slips a jab and a cross from Tiyapairat.
Young looks to throw the jab but Tiyapairat is out of range.
Samak Tiyapairat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A decent looking cross lands there for Young.
Tiyapairat tries to bum rush Young with a series of wild strikes but Young uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Young ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tiyapairat moves away.

Young drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Tiyapairat with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Young to score with a decent uppercut.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Young looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Young decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Young tries to pass the half guard into mount. Tiyapairat knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Young seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Tiyapairat is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
