PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Otakar Janecky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shelton Harrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Janecky might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Strauss - Radetzky March. Harrell has chosen J. Cole - Blow Up as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harrell tries to score with a low kick but Janecky moves his leg out of the way.
Janecky misses the shot to the body.
Otakar Janecky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Harrell lands a jab to Janecky's midsection.
Harrell walks into a left hand.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Janecky checks a leg kick.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Janecky crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Harrell - the referee stops the clock and Janecky gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Harrell. Janecky manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Harrell avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Janecky is nestled in close to Harrell, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Janecky has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
