The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monroe cracks Lee with an open hand slap.
Lee steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Monroe.
Monroe digs a good hook to Lee's body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lee looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Monroe cracks Lee with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Lee tries to clinch but Monroe is having none of it.
Monroe scores with a jab to the body.
Lee tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Monroe throws a body punch but Lee moves out of range.

Monroe manages to break the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lee doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Lee wants to clinch up but Monroe keeps it at a distance.
Monroe scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Monroe swats away the attempt to clinch by Lee.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Monroe lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Lee avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Monroe goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Monroe circles away from the clinch attempt
and Monroe counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Oh Lee is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lee is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Monroe sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Lee's defenses. It connects perfectly with Lee's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
