Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Billy Do!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cameron Saber!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saber looks to score with a jab to the body but Do is just out of range.
Saber lands a jab-cross combination.
Do tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Do walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
A looping hook to the body misses from Saber. Do does a little dance to reset his feet.
Do lands a slapping body shot.
Do uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Do throws a looping overhand right but Saber ducks down to avoid it.
Do on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Do misses with an attempted mid kick.
Cameron Saber seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Saber paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Saber tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Do was well out of range. Poor timing from Saber.
Saber goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
A low kick from Do misses
and Saber counters with a lovely shot to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Do takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Do lands with a nice body punch.
Do misses with a body shot
and Saber counters with a stiff right hand.
Do loads up on a big right hand but Saber slips the punch.
Saber on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Saber slips under a jab.
Saber misses with a body shot.
Saber fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Do manages to avoid it.
Do tried to score with a low kick but Saber checks it.
Do scores with a body shot.
Saber jabs at Do's body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Do throws a quick inside leg kick.
Saber misses with a wild body shot.
No joy there for Saber, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Do shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Do was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Saber tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Do lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Saber tries to lock up and control but Do gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Saber takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Do working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Saber is working to get back to half guard.
Do lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Saber hang on?

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Do! Saber is hurt baaadly! Do is firing away with more strikes - Saber is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Billy Do!
Billy Do retains his welterweight title!
After the fight, Billy Do was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
