The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown walks into a straight right hand from Stanson.
Stanson misses with a straight left.

Brown misses with a hook to the body
letting Stanson counter with a right hand.
Brown shoots in but Stanson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Stanson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Stanson throws a low kick but Brown avoids it.
Stanson misses with a body kick.
Stanson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Brown falls off balance throwing a combination
and Stanson counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Stanson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Stanson lands a glancing blow to the side of Brown's head.
Stanson lands a jab to the nose.
Brown shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Malcomn Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stanson throws a low kick, looking for Brown's leg but Brown calmly moves out of range.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Brown. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Brown drops his hands momentarily. Stanson doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Brown staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Brown doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Brian Stanson decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
