The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ufcowski jr closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Richer quickly recovers to half guard.

Ufcowski jr wants to work for an arm triangle but Richer is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Ufcowski jr wants to free his trapped foot but Richer is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Richer is not content to let Ufcowski jr control the position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ufcowski jr loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Richer scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Ufcowski jr land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Ufcowski jr stands and salutes the crowd.
