Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Sobieski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes to the ring accompanied by Judas Priest -Painkiller. Sobieski has chosen Kto Cię Obroni Polsko as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The key to victory for Andy James has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andy James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jan Sobieski!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James scores with a jab.
Sobieski throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
A nice leg kick lands there from James.
James throws a body punch but Sobieski moves out of range.
A chopping leg kick lands by Sobieski.
Sobieski tries to clinch but James is having none of it.

Sobieski dives in and scores a takedown into James's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Sobieski pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. James is keeping the position for now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
James not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

James slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Sobieski sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

and Sobieski counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

James is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

James can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sobieski controls the pace.
Sobieski is in close to James's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Sobieski wants to control from the top but James keeps moving.

Sobieski is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Jan Sobieski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

and Sobieski makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. James really felt that one!
Sobieski's hands are dropping dangerously low here and James connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sobieski scrambles back to his feet.
Sobieski is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
James goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Sobieski is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down James rather than just go for the knockout.
James tries to score with a low kick but Sobieski moves his leg out of the way.

Sobieski pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Sobieski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around James's waist but James gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sobieski off to one side.

Andy James showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Sobieski has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
