Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Emmanuel Bredenberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Autumn Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bredenberg comes into the arena with Heja Bamse blaring out of the sound system. Hunter has chosen Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Emmanuel Bredenberg!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Autumn Hunter!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bredenberg fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bredenberg closes the distance and clinches up with Hunter, looking for a takedown. Bredenberg pushes Hunter against the cage but Hunter circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hunter misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bredenberg.
Hunter keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Hunter counters with an inside leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Emmanuel Bredenberg. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hunter cracks the inside of Bredenberg's front leg.
No joy there for Hunter, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hunter throws a body punch but Bredenberg moves out of range.
Bredenberg misses with a takedown
and Hunter counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bredenberg.
No luck for Bredenberg with that takedown attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Bredenberg counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Hunter tries to get to full guard but Bredenberg has control of the leg.
Hunter is trying to control but Bredenberg passes into side control!

Bredenberg is looking to take a break and control but Hunter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bredenberg tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Hunter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bredenberg. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
You can see the frustration on Hunter's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Bredenberg passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Hunter!
Bredenberg avoids the attempt from Hunter to control.
Hunter is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Hunter tries to lock up and control but Bredenberg gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Hunter tries to reverse the position but Bredenberg maintains control.
Bredenberg misses with a head shot.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bredenberg throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Hunter is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Hunter keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Hunter reaches up to try and control the position but Bredenberg seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Hunter rolls and tries to escape and now Bredenberg has his back!

Hunter tries to roll but Bredenberg sticks to his back.
Bredenberg has good solid back control here.

Bredenberg working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Hunter is doing well to defend. Bredenberg seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Hunter is forced to tap and this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Emmanuel Bredenberg!

Emmanuel Bredenberg decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
