Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Monk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Risto Jaloviina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Monk comes to the cage accompanied by Master P - Heaven For A Gangsta. Jaloviina has chosen UNKLE - Reign as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaloviina throws a lazy body kick
and Jaloviina takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Monk throws a lazy right hand but Jaloviina sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Jaloviina lands a right hook to the body.
Monk moves out of range as Jaloviina throws a body kick.
Jaloviina throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Monk scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Jaloviina misses with a low kick.
Jaloviina misses with a body shot.
Jaloviina defending well as Monk loads up on a big left hand.
An inside leg kick from Jaloviina misses.
Jaloviina rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Monk moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Monk throws a solid leg kick but Jaloviina takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Monk.

Monk misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jaloviina.
A nice inside leg kick there by Jaloviina. That's going to slow Monk down.

Monk moves in looking to clinch but Jaloviina pushes him off.

Monk on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Jaloviina takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Jaloviina shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Jaloviina slips a nice elbow through Monk's hands, connecting with Monk's forehead.
Jaloviina content to control rather than advance.
Monk is trying to maintain the position but Jaloviina is very close to passing his half guard.
Monk is concentrating on defense, preventing Jaloviina from advancing position.

Jaloviina thows a huge punch but Monk dodges it nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jaloviina throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Jaloviina uses his free foot to push down on Monk's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Monk.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Monk takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Jaloviina's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
