The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xiaolong throws a hook but Russo blocks it.
Russo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Xiaolong.
Russo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Xiaolong swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Russo's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Xiaolong connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Russo scrambles back to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Xiaolong clobbers Russo with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Russo keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Oooooh!!! Xiaolong has knocked Russo down with a huge combo! Xiaolong steps away and waves a wobbly Russo back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Russo is rocked!

It looks like Ryan Russo has been cut.
Xiaolong cracks Russo with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Russo falls to his knees and Xiaolong doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Li Xiaolong!
A relieved looking Li Xiaolong thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
