The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carwin is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Carwin tries to sprawl but Marx drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Marx seems to be working for a kimura but Carwin defends the submission attempt.

Marx is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Carwin sees it coming and defends easily.

Carwin tries to roll over but Marx keeps him under control.
Marx seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Marx connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Carwin's hands.

Carwin looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Marx misses the shot to the body.
Carwin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Marx was well out of range. Poor timing from Carwin.
Marx steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Carwin.
Carwin tries to bum rush Marx with a series of wild strikes but Marx uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Carwin misses with a right hand
and Marx counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Carwin takes a swing at Marx's ribcage but misses.
Carwin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Marx moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

That has opened up Shane Carwin's cut even more.

Marx feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Carwin sprawling to the canvas! Carwin rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Marx finish him?!

Carwin is rocked!

Marx drops Carwin with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Carwin looks back up at him and smiles so Marx waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Carwin is still on wobbly legs! Can Marx finish him?

The cut above Shane Carwin's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Carwin misses with a left hand
and Marx counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Marx! This one is all over!

Mordechai Marx really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Hell's Balls Recovery (160) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
