The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jiorgite takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Schkelpt misses with a left hand

Jiorgite's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Schkelpt's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Schkelpt tries to lock up and control but Jiorgite gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Schkelpt is in all sorts of trouble here.

Schkelpt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jiorgite. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Schkelpt is squirming around, avoiding Jiorgite's attempts to control the action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jiorgite seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Schkelpt for as long as he can get away with.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Schkelpt tries to keep at a distance but Jiorgite has taken the fight into the clinch.

Schkelpt is looking to break free of the clinch but Jiorgite has double underhooks.
Schkelpt is pressed up against the cage. Jiorgite has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Schkelpt down to the mat. Schkelpt avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Schkelpt fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Schkelpt drops Jiorgite with a naaaaasty hook - Jiorgite is in real trouble here! Schkelpt dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
