PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Calico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dj Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Calico comes into the arena with Heat--J.U.I.C.E. blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Jackson's choice of entrance music: Trick Daddy-Lets Go. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson thuds a left hand into Calico's body.
Calico with a hook.

It looks like Dj Jackson has been cut.
Jackson cracks a nice hook into Calico's ribs.
Calico thows a left - swing and a miss!
Calico lands with an overhand left.
Calico tries to land a leg kick but Jackson saw it coming and moves away.
Jackson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Calico misses with an uppercut.
Jackson doesn't manage to clinch there - Calico circles away.

Jackson sends Calico crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Jackson is motioning to the referee to let Calico up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Calico is rocked!
Calico shoots for a takedown but Jackson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Oh Calico is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch but Calico swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Calico seems to have got his legs back now.
Jackson checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Calico fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Calico scores with a jab. Jackson acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Calico works the jab nicely.
Jackson avoids the body shot from Calico.
Jackson tries to clinch there but Calico circles away.
Jackson needs to keep his hands up - Calico had a free shot at his head there.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jackson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Jackson checks a leg kick.
Calico scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jackson doesn't seem bothered though.
Calico thows a body shot but no joy.
Jackson missing with a left hand there. Calico was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Jay Calico seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Calico moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Calico fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jackson.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Calico, right into the meat.

Jackson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Calico.

Calico throws a jab but it's blocked by Jackson.
Calico lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Jackson misses with a looping left.
Calico scores with a leg kick.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Calico.
Calico fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Jackson on the side of the head.

Jackson is rocked!
Calico feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Jacksons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Jackson is still on wobbly legs! Can Calico finish him?

That has opened up Dj Jackson's cut even more.

Calico shoots in for a takedown. He's got it... He's hoisted his opponent over his head and is carrying him over to the other end of the mat. The crowd roars in approval and Calico slams his opponent to the mat. OH, that is naaaaaasty! He's out! Calico lands a punch to his unconscious victim for good measure before the ref has time to call the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Jay Calico!
