Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, John Kyle Romo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Grande Mucho!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mucho walks into a straight right hand from Romo.
Romo feints and then cracks Mucho's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mucho down.
Mucho throws a leg kick
and Romo counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Mucho takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Romo connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Mucho momentarily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Mucho. Romo does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mucho takes one on the chin but seems OK.
John Kyle Romo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Romo lands with a shot to the body.
Romo clobbers Mucho with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Romo scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mucho is looking to chop away at Romo's legs.

Mucho drops down looking for an ankle pick but Romo pulls his leg out and moves away.

You can see the frustration on Romo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Mucho goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Romo has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Mucho but great work by Romo.

Mucho is refusing to be controlled, as Romo sits in half guard.

Mucho is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Romo pulls his head out easily.

Mucho is looking for a sweep. Romo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Mucho is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Romo is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Romo looking to sit in guard and control but Mucho gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Romo connects with a good right hand that stumbles Mucho. Mucho circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Romo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mucho paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Romo is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Mucho throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Romo's waist but Romo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mucho off to one side.

Romo shoots in and bounces Mucho off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Romo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Mucho looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Romo is fending him off so far but Mucho persists. Nope, Romo circles away and we're back to standing.

Romo fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mucho has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Mucho shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Romo stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Romo bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mucho's head backwards.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
