The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Metatartov.
Metatartov misses with a takedown attempt - Peterson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Metatartov closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Peterson quickly recovers to half guard.

Peterson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Metatartov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Metatartov has gone for a leg lock! Peterson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Metatartov's guard.

Metatartov pushes a forearm under Peterson's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Peterson is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
