The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooperman scores with a hook to the body. Grenadier takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Grenadier sizes up Cooperman with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Grenadier swings for the body but Cooperman moves out of range.
Grenadier takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Cooperman ducks under a wild hook from Grenadier.
Grenadier takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Grenadier lands a nice looking body kick.

Cooperman throws a big shot that misses.
Cooperman uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Grenadier has time to react.
Grenadier tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cooperman swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A looping hook to the body misses from Cooperman. Grenadier does a little dance to reset his feet.

Grenadier takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Cooperman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Grenadier moves away.

Grenadier bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Grenadier rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cooperman moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Cooperman scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Grenadier doesn't seem bothered though.

Grenadier takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Max Cooperman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Grenadier tries to land a front kick but Cooperman steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

and Grenadier counters with a head kick that drops Cooperman to the mat! Cooperman scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Cooperman swings for the body but Grenadier moves out of range.
Cooperman throws a hook to the side of Grenadier's head but Grenadier sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Grenadier tries to clinch up but Cooperman circles away and keeps his distance.

and Grenadier counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Cooperman lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Cooperman blocks the body kick.
Grenadier dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Cooperman. That did some damage!

Cooperman throws a sloppy body shot
and Grenadier counters with a thumping low kick.
Cooperman looks gassed!

Grenadier rushes Cooperman and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Cooperman blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Cooperman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Grenadier counters with a nice low kick that buckles Cooperman's knee momentarily.
Cooperman dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Cooperman thows a body shot but no joy.
Grenadier tries to clinch there but Cooperman circles away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Grenadier fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cooperman has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Cooperman misses with a wild body shot.
Cooperman swings widly with a right hand
and Grenadier counters with an inside leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Panzer Grenadier dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Cooperman takes one to the side of the head.
Grenadier moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Grenadier drops Cooperman with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Cooperman looks back up at him and smiles so Grenadier waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Cooperman is rocked!

Cooperman seems to have recovered his senses.
Cooperman is trying to break free.

Cooperman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Cooperman swings for the body but Grenadier moves out of range.
Cooperman throws an off balance right hand
and Grenadier counters with an outside leg kick.
Cooperman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Grenadier moves away.

Grenadier cracks Cooperman with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Cooperman looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Grenadier finish him?
Cooperman is breathing heavily.
Cooperman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Grenadier moves away.
Cooperman is aggressively charging in as Grenadier backs up avoiding any damage. Grenadier tosses out a jab and Cooperman runs right into it face first! Cooperman is out cold! Grenadier dropped down on all fours and is barking in Cooperman's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
