Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mason Capwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Jiminez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Capwell comes to the cage accompanied by The Haunted - 99. Jiminez comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Big pun - Beware kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Mason Capwell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Hector Jiminez!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Capwell tries to clinch but Jiminez is having none of it.
Capwell checks a low kick from Jiminez.
Jiminez throws a body punch but Capwell moves out of range.
Jiminez throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Capwell shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jiminez as he jumps to the side.
Jiminez throws out a loose jab but Capwell uses good head movement to avoid it.
Capwell throws a combination that misses
enabling Jiminez to counter with a crisp jab.
Jiminez scores with a jab to the head.
Capwell ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jiminez moves away.

Capwell gets the takedown into side control.
Capwell tries to score with some ground and pound. Jiminez controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Capwell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Capwell tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Capwell has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Jiminez regains half guard, as Capwell was trying to land strikes.
Capwell is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Capwell pushes down on Jiminez's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Capwell throwing shots but Jiminez is blocking nicely.
Capwell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jiminez keeps working.
Capwell slips a nice elbow through Jiminez's hands, connecting with Jiminez's forehead.
Capwell is looking to advance position but Jiminez won't allow it.

Capwell stalling away here and it's allowed Jiminez to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Capwell is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jiminez has escaped the position, nice work there.
Capwell wants to take a breather but Jiminez manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Capwell.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Capwell thows a huge punch but Jiminez dodges it nicely.
Capwell thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Jiminez is not content to let Capwell control the position.
Capwell not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Capwell wants to advance to full mount but Jiminez doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Jiminez fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Capwell is out of range.
Capwell looks for a takedown but Jiminez sprawls well.
Hector Jiminez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jiminez uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Capwell has time to react.
Jiminez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Capwell fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jiminez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Capwell manages to avoid it.
Jiminez scores with a sloppy right hand. Capwell should have avoided that one.

Capwell darts in and clinches Jiminez up against the cage.
Jiminez can't break the clinch.
Capwell has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Jiminez after a bit of a struggle.
Capwell tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jiminez smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mason Capwell. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Capwell shoots for a double leg takedown but Jiminez sprawls well. He's pushed Capwell's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Good leg kick by Jiminez there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Capwell fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jiminez throws a series of punches but Capwell moves out of range.
Mason Capwell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nice sprawl there from Jiminez as Capwell shoots in.
Hector Jiminez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jiminez.
A punch combination from Jiminez misses.
Jiminez feints a jab promting Capwell to slip. Jiminez then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Capwell slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Jiminez misses with a few strikes there.

Capwell changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jiminez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Capwell is really struggling to control Jiminez but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Jiminez manages to work his way to half guard, despite Capwell's best efforts.

Capwell is pushing down on Jiminez's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jiminez is fighting to maintain full guard but Capwell has managed to sneak the leg through.

Mason Capwell is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mason Capwell showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Capwell, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
