Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hi Pod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sterling Archer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hi Pod!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sterling Archer!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pod connects with a solid leg kick.
Pod pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pod misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Archer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Archer prevents Pod from getting back to his feet.
Archer forces his way into half guard.
Archer wants to take a breather but Pod is having none of it.
Archer is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Archer in particular looking to stall.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Archer is taking a breather. Pod says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Pod wants to get back to his feet.
Pod is not content to let Archer control the position.
Archer is looking for a kimura here.
Archer stops Pod from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Archer perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Pod wants to get back to his feet.
Pod pushes Archer off but Archer dives into side control.
Archer controlling from side mount.
Archer has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Pod shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Pod is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Archer makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Pod moves out of range of the body kick.
Pod shoots for a takedown but Archer saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Archer misses with the combination.
Archer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pod is fending him off so far but Archer persists. Nope, Pod circles away and we're back to standing.
Hi Pod seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Archer closes the distance and clinches.
Archer lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Archer is controlling the pace.
Archer passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Pod!

Archer controlling the position easily from mount.
Archer is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Pod is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Pod flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Archer anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Pod and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Archer slips an arm under Pod chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Archer has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Archer is squeezing on Pod like an anaconda would it's prey. Pod fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Sterling Archer!
Sterling Archer bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
