The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bane wants to slow Aurelius down by chopping away at his legs.
Aurelius connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
It looks like Blood Bane has been cut.
Aurelius blocks a leg kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Aurelius is defended easily by Bane.
Bane stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bane wants it to stay on the feet.
Aurelius throws a hook but Bane blocks it.
Aurelius tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bane sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Aurelius somewhat.
Blood Bane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Aurelius.
Aurelius misses with a lunging right hand
and Bane counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Nice defenses there by Bane.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The fighters circling - Aurelius throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Aurelius looks to land a right hand but Bane moved out of range.
Bane scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Aurelius. Bane does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bane tries to sprawl but Aurelius drives through with a takedown into half guard.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Bane is looking to improve his position.
Bane on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Aurelius has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Aurelius throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Aurelius winds up and cracks Bane with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Bane knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Aurelius on the ground.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Blood Bane's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
