Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Alson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicklas Bendtner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alson comes to the ring accompanied by Kasabian - Switchblade Smiles. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bendtner tries for a takedown but Alson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bendtner fails to land the takedown.
Alson shoots in and bounces Bendtner off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.

Bendtner bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Alson's guard.
Alson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bendtner doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bendtner manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Bendtner drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Alson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bendtner has Alson in his guard.
Bendtner is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Alson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Bendtner got a little sloppy there for a moment and Alson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bendtner has managed to get both his arms back between Alson's legs - danger averted.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Paul Alson will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Bendtner's jab looks to have found its range, popping Alson under the eye.
Alson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bendtner looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Alson is stalling here. Bendtner is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Alson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Bendtner has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
