Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Carlos Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Spar Bjj!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva has his takedown stuffed

and Bjj counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Bjj seems to be looking for submissions.
Bjj trying to control the action but Silva is working from the bottom.

Silva won't allow Bjj to pass to mount.
Bjj with the ground and pound but Silva uses the opportunity to regain guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bjj passes Silva's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Bjj throws a strike but Silva avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Silva can't keep his opponent in guard - Bjj advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Silva manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bjj manages to get himself to full guard.

Bjj moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Bjj manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Silva manages to get himself to full guard.
Bjj has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Bjj stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bjj doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Silva is tightening it up a little... Bjj has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Bjj reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Bjj taps out! Nice BJJ there by Silva!
