The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Fok misses its intended target.
Fok closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cruz to the mat! Cruz manages to get full guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Cruz utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Cruz can't keep his opponent in guard - Fok advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Fok sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Cruz defending well though.
Fok has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fok throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Fok wants to pass to mount but Cruz is defending the position.
Fok lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Fok has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Cruz defend it? Fok steps over the head and cranks it - Cruz is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Fok!
