Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Craig David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Lennox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David comes to the cage accompanied by Craig David - Rise and Fall. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Craig David!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anderson Lennox!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lennox misses with a hook. David ducked under it nicely.
Lennox throws a right hand that David ducks under and follows up with a left that David also avoids with ease.
Lennox misses with a wild combination.
David shoots in and drives through. Lennox sprawls well.
Lennox takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


It looks like Anderson Lennox has been cut.
David uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lennox.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from David is defended easily by Lennox.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lennox misses with a hook. David ducked under it nicely.
Lennox lands a nice shot that snaps David's head back.


It looks like Craig David has been cut.
David tries to clinch up.
Lennox throws a series of punches but David avoids them all with ease.
David tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Lennox is able to avoid easily.
Lennox bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Lennox throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Lennox fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
David doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Lennox throws a series of punches but David avoids them all with ease.
David tries to clinch up but Lennox circles away and keeps his distance.
Lennox lands a nice shot to the body.
David showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lennox.
Lennox tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
David shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Craig David. That's going to take a lot out of him.
David gets cracked there but stands up to it.


Craig David's cut is getting worse.
Anderson Lennox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lennox misses with a few strikes there.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for David. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Lennox tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but David was well out of range. Poor timing from Lennox.

David moves into the clinch.

David on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Lennox goes for a takedown in the clinch but David prevents it.
David gets underhooks to prevent Lennox's takedown attempt.

David jumps guard and drags Lennox to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Lennox trying to control but David is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
David wants to sweep here but Lennox controlling him for the moment.

Lennox trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lennox trying to control the position from guard on top but David is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

David has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lennox can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

David working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lennox doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lennox manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lennox got a little sloppy there for a moment and David has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lennox has managed to get both his arms back between David's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Lennox slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Anderson Lennox will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

David throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lennox was covering up waiting for the punch and David finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Lennox throws a right hand that David ducks under and follows up with a left that David also avoids with ease.
Lennox bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps David's head backwards.


Craig David's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

David looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Lennox!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lennox is bucking up trying to escape but David cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

David misses with a head shot.
David throws a wild left hand from mount and Lennox manages to wriggle his way back to half guard.
Lennox wants to get back to his feet.
Lennox is staying active underneath David, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
David thows a huge punch but Lennox dodges it nicely.

David is stalling here. Lennox is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! David seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Lennox has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
David sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Lennox is keen to just control but David is a slippery customer.
Lennox stalling away here and it's allowed David to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Lennox stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. David swivels though and keeps the full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Lennox stuffs the takedown attempt from David. David gets slowly back to his feet.
No joy there for Lennox, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lennox throws a right and a left that both miss.
A left lands for Lennox.
David has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lennox finds it's way round the side to connect with David's head.
David has a takedown stuffed.
Lennox throws a right hand that David ducks under and follows up with a left that David also avoids with ease.
Sloppy strikes from Lennox. Those never looked like landing.

David closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lennox takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
David is trying to control. Lennox wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

David has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

David is looking to work some ground and pound but Lennox has wrist control.
David throws a strike but Lennox rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

David looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Craig David overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Lennox stays in close to David's body and controls the position.
Lennox looking to sit in guard and control but David gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lennox is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst David is controlling him.

And that's the end of the fight!
Craig David showed his dominance in that final round.
I think David has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
