Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lan Mandragoran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bip Bop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mandragoran throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Mandragoran uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

It looks like Bip Bop has been cut.

Bop takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Bop lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mandragoran circles away quickly and effectively.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Mandragoran.

Mandragoran lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Bop clobbers Mandragoran with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Mandragoran moves into the clinch.
Bop is trying to force a seperation but Mandragoran has the dominant position.
Bop tries to circle away but Mandragoran has him pinned against the cage.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Lan Mandragoran will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Mandragoran here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
