PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chicken Beef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Fatts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fatts has chosen Hit Em Up by Tupac as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chicken Beef!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Fatts!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beef gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Fatts jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Beef misses with a double jab.
Fatts takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Fatts swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Fatts misses with a series of wild punches.
Beef uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Fatts.
Fatts misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Beef ducks under a wild hook from Fatts.
Beef avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Beef wants to clinch.

Fatts throws a predictable looking body shot
and Beef counters with a nice uppercut.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Beef.

Chicken Beef is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Beef lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Fatts backwards.
Beef has a couple of punches blocked by Fatts.
Fatts is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Beef gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Beef has Fatts pressed against the cage, preventing Fatts from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Fatts works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Fatts had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Beef defends it easily.

Beef working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Beef working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Beef is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Fatts trying to control the position.

Beef stands and steps away. Fatts gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Fatts misses with a hook
and Beef counters with an outside leg kick.
Fatts throws a body punch but Beef moves out of range.

Fatts misses with a lunging right hand
and Beef counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Beef sizes up Fatts with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Fatts throws an overhand right that lands on Beef's shoulder, as Beef tries to avoid the shot.
Beef lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Beef lands a nice leg kick that just misses Fatts's sensitive parts.
Beef is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Beef has Fatts up against the cage in a clinch.
Fatts is trying to break free.
A frustrated look appears on Fatts's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Beef fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Fatts has Beef pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Fatts pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Beef tumbling to the mat - Fatts dives into Beef's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Chicken Beef will probably get the nod.

That's time! Beef's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Beef lands a big uppercut and Fatts crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Fatts looks OK. Beef waves Fatts back to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Beef fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fatts manages to avoid it.
Fatts misses the body punch
and Beef counters with a huge left! Fatts is in big trouble! He's backing up but Beef isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Fatts from any more damage. A dominating finish by Beef!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chicken Beef!
