Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shigeo Miyato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by Bodies/Drowning pool. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Gracie is working for a kimura but Miyato is defending it quite comfortably.

Gracie is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Miyato is just riding it out for now. Gracie eventually gives up the hold.

That was a close round but I would say that Kirk Gracie will probably get the nod.

Gracie changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Miyato looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Gracie is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Miyato knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gracie advances to half guard.
Miyato is staying active underneath Gracie, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

and Gracie counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Miyato drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Gracie manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Miyato has Gracie in his guard.
