The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardoso fails with an attempt to clinch.
Crook ducks under a wild hook from Cardoso.
Crook wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Crook lands a jab to Cardoso's midsection.
Cardoso shoots in but Crook avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Crook connects with a looping right hand.
Crook lands a slapping body shot.
Cardoso throws a leg kick
and Crook counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.


It looks like Renato Cardoso has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Crook cracks Cardoso with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Crook catches Cardoso with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Cardoso looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Crook!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Crook can do anything to dispel that myth.
Crook wants to control but Cardoso is having none of it.
Cardoso takes Crook's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Crook is in trouble.

Cardoso is persistently looking for the submission but Crook is defending it well.
Crook really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cardoso. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Crook defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Cardoso's arms.

Crook is trying to defend against the choke here but Cardoso has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Cardoso Tightens the hold and Crook taps out furiously! Cardoso displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
