Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Deano Clavet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thom Le Bou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Le Bou has chosen H.A.M. - Kanye west as his entrance music. Deano Clavet has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Deano Clavet!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thom Le Bou!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, David Schapiro and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clavet doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Le Bou connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Le Bou swings for the body but Clavet moves out of range.

Clavet closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Clavet lands in his opponent's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Le Bou is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Le Bou scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Clavet tries to close the distance and clinch but Le Bou swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Le Bou scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Le Bou happy to just control the position for now.
Clavet misses with a strike from the bottom.

Clavet tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Le Bou easily slips into full mount!
Clavet is desperately trying to improve his position but Le Bou has a good base and remains in mount.

Le Bou is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Clavet can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Le Bou wants to control from the top but Clavet keeps moving.
Le Bou stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Clavet swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Le Bou is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Clavet isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Le Bou stacks Clavet on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Le Bou!
Clavet is trying to control Le Bou's posture but Le Bou avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Le Bou, as that shot connected.
Le Bou throws a series of strikes that have Clavet backpedaling.

Clavet throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Le Bou's waist but Le Bou gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Clavet off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Deano Clavet. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Le Bou makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

You can see the frustration on Clavet's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Le Bou breaks Clavet's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Clavet lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Le Bou!

Le Bou is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Clavet takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Le Bou clobbers Clavet with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Clavet shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Le Bou but Le Bou pushes him off and we're back to square one.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Le Bou enables Clavet to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Le Bou manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Clavet wants to control from the top but Le Bou keeps moving.
Le Bou manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Clavet manages to get himself to full guard.

Well Le Bou has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
