And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Daniel Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Azhiev tries to move into range but Lewis moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Lewis tries to land a leg kick but Azhiev saw it coming and moves away.
Lewis pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Lewis closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Lewis connects with a looping right hand.
Lewis connects with a good right hand that stumbles Azhiev. Azhiev circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Lewis scores with a decent looking hook.
Azhiev fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lewis avoids it really well and circles away.
Azhiev moves out of range of the body kick.

Lewis darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Azhiev takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Lewis connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Azhiev momentarily.
Lewis scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Azhiev.

Lewis throws a right and a left that both miss.
Azhiev gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Lewis throws a head kick but Azhiev moves out of range.

Lewis lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Azhiev tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lewis sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Azhiev somewhat.
Azhiev fails to land the takedown.
Lewis pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Azhiev back to the cage. Lewis follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Lewis connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

A left lands for Lewis.
Lewis displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Lewis might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Lewis scores with a shot to the body.
A punch lands to the side of Azhiev 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lewis connects with the punch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Azhiev fails with a takedown attempt.
Azhiev takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daniel Lewis dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Lewis scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Daniel Lewis seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Lewis slips under a jab.

Azhiev has closed the distance and engaged Lewis in a clinch.
Azhiev has Lewis pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lewis manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Lewis avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Azhiev is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Lewis tries to free his leg and advance position but Azhiev is retaining full guard.
Lewis is looking to work some ground and pound but Azhiev has wrist control.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lewis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Azhiev has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Lewis doesn't defend quickly enough and Azhiev has managed to lock this one up! Can Lewis escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Azhiev on a fantastic submission victory.
