PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dwayne Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Able Nox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Dwayne Johnson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dwayne Johnson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nox swivels and escapes.
Nox loads up on a big right hand but Johnson slips the punch.
Nox shoots in for a takedown but Johnson shows good takedown defense.
Nox throws a leg kick but Johnson sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Johnson avoids the body shot from Nox.

Nox gets the takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nox misses with the ground and pound.
Nox throws a strike aimed at the side of Johnson's head but Johnson avoids it well.

Johnson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Nox stops Johnson from passing to mount.
Nox parries the strikes from Johnson easily there. Johnson is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Nox to escape.

Nox throws a body punch but Johnson moves out of range.
Johnson doesn't manage to clinch there - Nox circles away.

Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nox as he avoids it easily.
Johnson shoots in looking for a takedown but Nox manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Johnson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Able Nox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nox dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Johnson. That did some damage!

Horrible takedown by Johnson or perhaps it was just good defense by Nox which made him look bad.

Nox throws a push kick but Johnson slaps the foot to one side.
That kick from Nox tenderised Johnson's leg. Johnson is trying to keep his angry face on.
Nox looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Johnson is fending him off so far but Nox persists. Nope, Johnson circles away and we're back to standing.
Nox misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Johnson.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Johnson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Johnson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nox looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Johnson uses his free foot to push down on Nox's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Nox.

Johnson has control of Nox's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Nox regains control of the situation pretty easily.
