Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ted Scheckler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benjamin Grundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Benjamin Grundy told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scheckler swats away the attempt to clinch by Grundy.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Scheckler throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Grundy sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Grundy lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Scheckler has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Scheckler and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Scheckler's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Grundy connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Scheckler scrambles back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Scheckler tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Scheckler has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Grundy on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Scheckler accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Scheckler is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Scheckler throws a strike but Grundy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Grundy is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A close second round but Benjamin Grundy will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Scheckler throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Grundy's waist but Grundy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Scheckler off to one side.

Scheckler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Grundy is looking to improve his position but Scheckler isn't that keen on the idea.

Scheckler wants to free his trapped foot but Grundy is holding on for dear life with his legs.
