Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ben Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kennedy Embers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stone's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, SWEET JANE. Embers is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Settle For Nothing by RATM. Kennedy Embers is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kennedy Embers!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone avoids the head kick by Embers.
Stone on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Embers connects with a right hand. Stone shakes it off.
Stone changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
A slapping leg kick lands for Stone.
Embers misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kennedy Embers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice body punch from Stone.
Stone fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Stone pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Embers back to the cage. Stone follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


It looks like Kennedy Embers has been cut.
Embers throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Embers fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Stone is out of range.
Stone lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Embers circles away quickly and effectively.
Embers misses with a two punch combination.
Stone tries to move into range but Embers moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Embers throws a jab but it's blocked by Stone.
Stone connects with a body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stone ducks under a wild hook from Embers.
A nice inside leg kick there by Stone. That's going to slow Embers down.
Embers looks gassed!

Stone scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Embers avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Stone.
Stone throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Stone creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Embers sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Stone tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Stone looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Embers is avoiding damage well.

Stone grinds an elbow into Embers's temple.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stone is looking to take a break and control but Embers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Embers avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Stone.
Stone is trying to ground and pound but Embers uses the momentary lack of control by Stone to regain half guard.
Embers keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Stone is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Stone thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Embers's head.
Embers is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stone is keen to just control but Embers is a slippery customer.

Stone is trying to work for a kimura but Embers is defending well.

Stone is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Stone working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Embers blocking the ground and pound attempt from Stone.
Stone throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Embers trying to control but Stone postures up.
Stone thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Embers's head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Embers is staying active underneath Stone, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Stone cracks Embers with an open hand slap.
Stone looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Embers tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Stone misses with a double jab.
A looping hook to the body misses from Stone. Embers does a little dance to reset his feet.
Stone missing with a left hand there. Embers was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Embers misses with a right hand
and Stone counters with an outside leg kick.
Stone lands with a kick to the ribs.
Embers misses with a hook.
Stone throws a nice inside leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Embers swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Ben Stone is winning the standup battle so far.
Stone is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Embers.

Embers looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.


That has opened up Kennedy Embers's cut even more.
Stone tries to score a power double leg takedown but Embers sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Stone somewhat.
Embers swings widly with a right hand
and Stone connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kennedy Embers is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Embers throws a series of punches but Stone moves out of range.
Embers listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Stone avoids a punch combination nicely.
Embers is breathing heavily.
Embers throws a right hand that Stone ducks under and follows up with a left that Stone also avoids with ease.
Stone feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Embers's calf.
A looping hook to the body misses from Embers. Stone does a little dance to reset his feet.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stone fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Embers might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Stone connects with a looping right hand.
Danga de danga de dang - Stone scores with a four punch combination!
Stone lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Embers at a distance.

Stone connects with a high kick.


The cut above Kennedy Embers's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Stone connects with a leg kick. Embers looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Embers dodges the punch combination from Stone.
Stone works the jab nicely.
Stone ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Embers misses with a hook
and Stone counters with a nice body kick.

Stone drops Embers with a beautiful combination! Embers stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Stone is looking for the KO!


Embers is rocked!


Kennedy Embers's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kennedy Embers's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Ben Stone!
Ben Stone is the new welterweight champion!
Ben Stone really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Conviction logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
