Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yusuke Nakamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asiong Salonga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nakamura comes to the cage accompanied by Oy, to ne vecher. Asiong Salonga struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 146.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakamura just misses with a punch to the body.
Salonga shoots in for a double leg but Nakamura sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Salonga counters with a crisp one two that drops Nakamura! Salonga thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Nakamura to his feet! Nakamura is in big trouble!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nakamura dives in and scores a takedown into Salonga's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Nakamura seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nakamura connects with a nice short shot to Salonga's temple.
