Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Poldi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alessandro Nestea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack Poldi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alessandro Nestea!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nestea gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Nestea pulls guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Poldi is pushing down on Nestea's leg trying to pass to half guard. Nestea is fighting to maintain full guard but Poldi has managed to sneak the leg through.
Nestea is not content to let Poldi control the position.
Nestea is trying to get back to full guard.
Nestea is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Nestea is looking to escape.
Poldi throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Poldi missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Nestea tries to get to full guard but Poldi has control of the leg.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nestea can do anything to dispel that myth.
Poldi looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Poldi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Nestea's head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nestea on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Poldi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Poldi takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Nestea trying to control but Poldi postures up.
Poldi missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Poldi drops an elbow to the side of Nestea's head.
Nestea desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Poldi slips a nice elbow through Nestea's hands, connecting with Nestea's forehead.
Poldi sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Poldi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Poldi is pressing down on Nestea's thigh, looking to free his foot. Nestea is holding on for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Poldi throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Nestea is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Poldi trying to control the action but Nestea is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Poldi is trying for a kimura here. Nestea looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Poldi wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jack Poldi!
