Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jan Nowak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Nero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nowak defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Nero.

Nero shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Nowak tries to kick Nero off but Nero keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Nero is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Nero wants to advance to full mount but Nowak doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Nero wants to pass the guard but Nowak is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nowak wants to get back to his feet but Nero is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Nero gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Nowak throws a sloppy head kick and Nero moves out of range easily.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nero is defended easily by Nowak.
Nero tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Nowak counters with an outside leg kick.
Nowak will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Nowak moves into the clinch.
Nero has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Nowak is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Jan Nowak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of The Nero.
Nero has a couple of punches blocked by Nowak.

Nowak breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Nero swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Nowak escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nowak wants to clinch up but Nero keeps it at a distance.

Nowak closes the distance and clinches.
Nero changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Nowak fights it off and pushes away nicely.
The Nero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nowak stuffs the takedown.

Nowak tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Nero looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Nowak wants to take the fight to the mat but Nero manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Nowak creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Nero's defenses.

Nowak's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Nero looks for a takedown but Nowak sprawls well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nero sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Nowak's guard.
Nowak tries to kick Nero off but Nero keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Nero has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Nowak defend it? Nero steps over the head and cranks it - Nowak is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Nero!
