Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dziedzic closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Gaines quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Gaines looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Dziedzic trying to pass the guard but Gaines defending well.
Gaines is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dziedzic's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dziedzic's back!

Gaines tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dziedzic swivels and escapes.
Dziedzic changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gaines tries to avoid it but Dziedzic manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gaines to the ground. Gaines escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gaines shoots and misses
so Dziedzic counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Gaines has his foot on Dziedzic's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dziedzic works his way back into a safe position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dziedzic wants to get up but he can't break Gaines's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Dziedzic is sitting in close to Gaines's body. Gaines has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Dziedzic is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Dziedzic is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Gaines.
