Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pertti Peto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rod Wallis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peto kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Sabaton - Talvisota . Wallis has chosen Who's Got A Match? by Biffy Clyro as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Rod Wallis enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pertti Peto!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rod Wallis!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peto throws a nice looking combination but Wallis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Peto shoots in for a takedown but Wallis shows good takedown defense.
Peto fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Peto connects with a single shot there.

Peto shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Peto showed some decent athleticism there.
Wallis tries to roll over but Peto keeps him under control.

Peto is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Wallis has managed to free his arm - good work.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Peto swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Wallis is now in Peto's guard. A big mistake from Peto there, giving up the dominant position!

Peto has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wallis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Peto escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wallis gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Wallis goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Peto has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Wallis but great work by Peto.

Peto had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wallis is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Peto Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wallis's back instead.

That was a close round but I would say that Pertti Peto will probably get the nod.

Wallis has taken the fight to the clinch.
Wallis jumps guard but Peto stands there with Wallis around his waist. Wallis gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Peto has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Wallis is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
