These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Agalactaciae connects with a high kick.

It looks like Tanishk Soni has been cut.

Soni clinches up with Agalactaciae and pushes him back against the cage.
Soni changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Agalactaciae fights it off and pushes away nicely.
A slapping body kick lands there for Agalactaciae.

Agalactaciae looking for a sweep but Soni has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Tanishk Soni has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Soni drops his hands momentarily and Agalactaciae takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Soni dips to his left and cracks Agalactaciae with an uppercut!
Soni moves out of range of the leg kick from Agalactaciae.
An inside leg kick from Agalactaciae misses.
Soni swings for the body but Agalactaciae moves out of range.

Soni has closed the distance and engaged Agalactaciae in a clinch.

Soni breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Soni has his takedown stuffed

and Agalactaciae counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Agalactaciae drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Soni dives on top into guard.
Agalactaciae wants to sweep but no luck.

Agalactaciae has an active guard here but Soni has managed to pass into half guard.
Soni content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Agalactaciae regains full guard. Nicely done.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Agalactaciae isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Soni stacks Agalactaciae on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Soni!
Agalactaciae tries to get back to half guard but can't.
