Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rayce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sompong Seesumran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sompong Seesumran will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Sompong Seesumran!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Seesumran enables Gracie to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Seesumran manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Gracie missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Gracie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Gracie wants to control from the top but Seesumran keeps moving.

Gracie postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Seesumran is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gracie, into his guard.

Gracie is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Seesumran is surviving well by controlling Gracie's body position as best he can.
Seesumran really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gracie is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Gracie extends the arm and Seesumran is forced to tap!
