Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Abel Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quinton Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Speed's entrance music is Limp Bizkit / Break Stuff. A fine choice. Abel Speed has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Speed uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Evans just misses with a punch to the body.
Speed moves out of range of the body kick.
Speed digs a good body shot into Evans's ribs.
Speed misses with a wild body shot.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Evans lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Speed has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Speed and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Evans throws a hook to the side of Speed's head but Speed sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Speed tries to bum rush Evans with a series of wild strikes but Evans uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Evans throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Speed swings for the body but Evans moves out of range.
Evans lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Speed circles away quickly and effectively.
Evans throws a front kick aimed at Speed's knee but Speed avoids it well.
Speed thows a body shot but no joy.
Speed walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Evans throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Speed misses with a straight right.
Speed loads up on a big right hand but Evans slips the punch.
Speed ducks right into an uppercut from Evans.
Speed lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Evans at a distance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Evans fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Speed is out of range.

Evans uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Speed.
Speed looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Evans is fending him off so far but Speed persists. Nope, Evans circles away and we're back to standing.
Speed misses the shot to the body.

and Evans counters with a nice low kick that buckles Speed's knee momentarily.
Evans lands with a nice body punch.
Speed slips under a jab.
Evans misses the shot to the body.
Speed is trying hard to land a takedown here. Evans sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
The fighters circling - Speed throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Evans's corner calls for a 1-2. Evans obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Speed feints and as Evans raises his hands in defense, Speed changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Speed loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Evans seems keen to control Speed's posture.

Speed looking to sit in guard and control but Evans gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Speed escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Evans gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Evans won't allow Speed to sweep him here.
Evans throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Speed works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Speed makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Speed.
Evans chips away with some ground and pound.
Speed looking to hit a scissor sweep but Evans is one step ahead there.

Evans throws a sloppy strike and Speed has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Evans is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Speed!
