Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nhat Dinh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francesco Luongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Luongo has chosen The Northern - Alexisonfire as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Luongo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dinh looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Dinh regains half guard, as Luongo was trying to land strikes.

Luongo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dinh is just riding it out for now. Luongo eventually gives up the hold.
Luongo wants to free his trapped foot but Dinh is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Dinh keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Luongo prevents Dinh from improving his position.
Luongo is pressing down on Dinh's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dinh is holding on for now.
Dinh regains full guard. Nicely done.

Luongo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Luongo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Luongo wants to pass the guard but Dinh is keeping the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Dinh darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Dinh is looking for a kimura here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Luongo is in trouble now - Dinh has advanced to mount!

Dinh has hold of Luongo's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Luongo manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Dinh is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Luongo is surviving well by controlling Dinh's body position as best he can.
Luongo stops Dinh from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Luongo tries to hold on but Dinh postures up.

Luongo tries to reverse the position but Dinh maintains control.
Luongo throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Dinh wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.

Dinh doesn't have the hooks in and Luongo manages to turn into his guard.

Dinh escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Luongo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Luongo slips nicely into half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Luongo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dinh's head.
Luongo passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Dinh!
Luongo unloads with some shots from mount but Dinh bucks and avoids them well.
Dinh is trying desperately to improve position.
Luongo wants to take Dinh's back but he can't do it this time.

Dinh defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Luongo.
Dinh can't escape the position.

Luongo jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Dinh is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Dinh and Luongo has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Dinh sneaks back into half guard.

Luongo is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Luongo moves into full mount! Dinh won't be happy about that!

Luongo wants to finish this one by submission but Dinh is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Luongo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nhat Dinh dominated that round.
That's time! Dinh's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Dinh fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Luongo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Dinh tries to bench press Luongo off him but Luongo keeps the position.

Luongo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Dinh manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Dinh is looking to improve his position.

Luongo wants to work for an arm triangle but Dinh is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Dinh makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Dinh.
Dinh tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Dinh has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Luongo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Luongo drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Luongo seems to have locked his on tight now - Dinh screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Luongo, as he picks up the win!
