Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Bader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Sutter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Thomas Bader!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Sutter!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Bruno Hogan and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sutter throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bader tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sutter is in Bader's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Sutter cracks Bader with a solid left hand.
Sutter won't allow Bader to sweep him here.
Bader keeping moving, preventing Sutter from controlling successfully.
Sutter passes Bader's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Sutter wants to take a breather but Bader is having none of it.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sutter lands a nice short elbow.
Bader on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Bader is pressing down on Sutter's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sutter connects with a nice short shot to Bader's temple.

Bader takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bader takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Sutter creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Bader is looking to reverse the position.
Sutter working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Bader is trying to improve his position.
Bader takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Sutter tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Sutter postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sutter throwing strikes but Bader manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Both fighters take a look at the clock.

Bader is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sutter is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sutter sneaks back into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Sutter dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Sutter instigates a clinch.

Sutter gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Mark Sutter has got the better of the ground game so far.
Bader tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Sutter with a flurry of punches that miss.
Sutter trying to control but Bader is working from the bottom.
Sutter throws a strike but Bader rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Sutter looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Bader is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sutter is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sutter has escaped and now he's on top!

Bader is trying to control the position but Sutter postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sutter stands up over Bader, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Sutter is in close to Bader's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Sutter throwing strikes from guard but Bader blocks nicely.
Bader preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Bader escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sutter gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Sutter cracks Bader with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Sutter immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Bader is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Sutter!
