Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, David Giljotin!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Gwyn Jones!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Jones moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet.
Jones wants to slow Giljotin down by chopping away at his legs.
Giljotin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jones looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Giljotin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Giljotin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jones tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Jones tests Giljotin's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Gwyn Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Giljotin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jones's guard.

Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Giljotin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Giljotin wants to pass the guard but Jones is keeping the position.

Giljotin has gone for a leg lock! Jones slips out almost immediately though and dives into Giljotin's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jones is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Jones wants to control from the top but Giljotin keeps moving.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jones throws a leg kick but Giljotin checks it.

Jones stuffs the takedown.
Giljotin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Jones counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Jones defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Giljotin.
Gwyn Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice inside leg kick there by Jones. That's going to slow Giljotin down.
Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Jones is looking to chop away at Giljotin's legs.
Giljotin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away.
A nice leg kick lands there from Jones.
Jones misses with a low kick.
Giljotin shoots in looking for a takedown but Jones manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Giljotin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Jones tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jones throws the kick towards the body but Giljotin avoids it.

That's time! Giljotin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jones.
Giljotin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Crunch! Jones slams his shin into Giljotin's torso.

Jones misses with a low kick.
Giljotin shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Giljotin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jones throws a half hearted mid kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Giljotin moves out of range of the leg kick from Jones.
Jones misses with a leg kick.
Jones throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Jones fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Giljotin checks it well.
Jones fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Giljotin is out of range.
A bone on bone clash there as Giljotin blocks the leg kick.
Jones buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jones throws a lazy head kick

and Giljotin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jones won't be happy with that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Giljotin tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Jones is trying to improve his position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Giljotin is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Jones is trying to escape and Giljotin transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Jones is forced to tap! Nice work there by Giljotin! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). David Giljotin!
