Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jokke Nappula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Spatz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nappula kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Troggs- Wild Thing. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nappula feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Nappula has control of Spatz's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Spatz regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Spatz's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Nappula tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Spatz crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Nappula - the referee stops the clock and Spatz gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Nappula. Spatz manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jokke Nappula.
Well Nappula has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
