Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Spox Beard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gim Ruut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beard comes to the cage accompanied by Spock's Beard - The Great Nothing. Ruut comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Indestructible - Disturbed kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruut cracks Beard with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

It looks like Gim Ruut has been cut.
Beard creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Ruut's defenses.

Beard lands an elbow just above Ruut 's eye.
Ruut takes an elbow to the forehead.
Beard slowing the pace effectively.
Beard creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Beard gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

That has opened up Gim Ruut's cut even more.
Beard misses with an elbow strike.
Beard lands an elbow just above Ruut 's eye.

Ruut is rocked!

The cut above Gim Ruut's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Beard is pressed up against the cage. Ruut has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Beard down to the mat. Beard avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Spox Beard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gim Ruut.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Beard! Ruut is out on his feet! Beard rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Ruut is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Ruut is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Spox Beard decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
