Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cole Coggins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Raymond Matice!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Matice fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Coggins sprawls well initially but Matice persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Matice moves nicely into side control.
Matice staying calm.
Coggins tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Matice presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Coggins is trying to stand.
Matice working the ground and pound effectively.
Matice takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Coggins misses with a takedown attempt - Matice sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Coggins gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Matice.


It looks like Cole Coggins has been cut.
Matice misses with a hook. Coggins ducked under it nicely.
Matice avoids a punch combination nicely.
Matice shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Coggins as he avoids it easily.

Coggins misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Matice gets the takedown into side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Let's hope that Matice has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Coggins tries to escape but Matice is in control.
Matice is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Raymond Matice.
Matice throws a series of punches but Coggins moves out of range.

Coggins throws a head kick but Matice moves out of range.
Coggins checks the leg kick nicely there.
Matice displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Coggins.
No luck for Matice with that takedown attempt.
Cole Coggins is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Matice throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Coggins.
Matice misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Coggins lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Coggins avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Matice throws a jab when Coggins was well out of range.
Coggins misses with a head kick.
Coggins tries to close the distance and clinch but Matice swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Matice misses with a wild combination.
Matice checks a leg kick.
Coggins looks to land a combination but Matice avoids it well.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Coggins is defended easily by Matice.

Matice shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Coggins is desperately trying to improve his position but Matice has a good base and remains in mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Raymond Matice showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Matice looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Coggins rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Matice moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Coggins shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Matice connects with a right that clearly hurt Coggins. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Matice proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Coggins collapses and taps out under the pressure!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Raymond Matice!
