Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Slyker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Joseph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slyker comes to the cage accompanied by It's Amazing by Kanye West. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Joseph throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Slyker tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Joseph is in Slyker's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Joseph accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Joseph has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Joseph stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Slyker swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Joe Joseph wasn't active enough on the ground.
Joseph moves out of range of the strikes.

Joseph gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
