Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacoby Wilcox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter's entrance music is Run this Town. A fine choice. Wilcox has chosen Danger: Wildman as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilcox shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Carter takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Wilcox lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Carter throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Jacoby Wilcox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wilcox changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carter tries to avoid it but Wilcox manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carter to the ground. Carter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

It looks like Jacoby Wilcox has been cut.

Wilcox feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That was a close round but I would say that Shawn Carter will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Wilcox drops his hands momentarily and Carter takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Carter fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Wilcox has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Jacoby Wilcox is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wilcox tries to land a front kick but Carter steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
